In 2015 we took a backpacking trip around Southeast Asia. It was an incredible journey that opened our eyes to new cultures, sights, sounds and smells. The thing that really stuck with us was the food. It was vibrant, fresh and had the most incredible balance of sweet, sour, spicy and umami flavours.
On our return to England we had an idea. Let’s create a gin that celebrates Southeast Asian cuisine; a balance of flavour that sets the tastebuds alight.
We spent the next three years on a journey of discovery and adventure. We developed our idea, honed our craft, and experimented with a multitude of Southeast Asian flavours.
We refused to rush and never compromised, only starting production when we had perfected a gin that we were truly proud of, one that honoured the incredible culture, cuisine, and people we had experienced on our trip.
We did it all ourselves. A true craft gin is crafted by the passion, love and belief of its founders. It’s never outsourced.
