So you love Gin eh? Well you will be pleased to hear, so do we! In fact our story begins some 30 years ago in New Zealand when I learned my craft from a moonshiner with an amazing amount of knowledge and ‘‘know how’’ to make some of the finest tasting spirits including whiskey and rum from malted corn, rye, barley and molasses using a hand built red copper still. We used only the best Organic field fresh grains free of sprays and anything nasty, along with the purest snow melt mountain water for tempering which give us a great tasting distilled hooch which was named No.45

Fast forward to 2018 here in the United Kingdom and The Boutique Distillery Ltd was born. I felt it was time that I resurrected No.45 and so set about building our own unique, one of a kind red copper still aptly named “Ginavive”. She is a thing of odd beauty and yet produces a beauty from deep within that lucky for us is a quaffable delight. She is similar in design to the still I built some 30 years back in New Zealand, with the exception to the large vapour infuser to pack our botanicals.

Our method of gently passing those warm vapours from our smooth grain spirit through our 13 carefully selected botanicals to extract their goodness, leads the way to give you a very flavoursome Gin with the most stunning well rounded notes. The rich oils that are extracted from our botanicals as the precious vapour passes over them will give a gorgeous opalescence to our Gin when your favourite tonic and ice is added.

We have introduced to our range a Pink Raspberry & Hibiscus gin using our New Zealand botanicals grown here at the distillery and fresh local raspberries, which add a depth and smoothness like no other.
